Mother Mary Procession across the Village

On October 13th 2018, on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Fatima, a procession was held of the main statue of our Patron , Our Lady of Remedios across the village. The procession was preceded with a Eucharistic Celebration at 3:45pm, after which the statue was mounted on a specially decorated vehicle. The procession began from Fortavaddo and proceeded to Bhattier, Firguem Bhatt, Rauto vaddo, Dando, Maimem, Dandarim and culminated at the Church at 1:15am. All across the route, people from all walks of life thronged the path and took Mother Mary’s special blessings. This was perhaps the first time that such an event has occurred in the village. Opening Ceremony of 450 Years of Christian Faith

The Opening Ceremony of the 450 Years of Christian Faith was held on 24th April 2018. It also co-incided with the Confirmation of 43 Youth of the Parish. The Archbishop, His Grace, Most Rev. Filipe Neri Ferrao was welcomed by the parishioners at the gates of the Church and was led by Rev. Dr. Bolmax Pereira. A short opening ceremony was followed by the Eucharistic Celebrations. Way of Cross on Nerul Mount

 

On 26th March, as part of the Lenten program, the Parish organized the Way of the Cross on our newly possessed land on the Nerul Mount. The members of the Fabrica had requested for this program to be done. Together with the Youth, the Parish priest put together a unique experience for the Parish that traversed the entire hill with 14 stations and culminated with the celebration of mass on the hill. Later all the parishioners were served ‘Canji ani Toracho Shir’ specially prepared by Brother Rosario Colaco and the Youth.

Parish Youth to organise All Goa Seven A Side football tournament

We are organizing our annual one day All Goa Seven – A – Side football tournament for the
Parish Youth. We take this opportunity to invite the Youth Group of your Parish to participate in
the tournament. It will be held on Sunday, 29 November 2009 at Nerul Sports Club ground from
10:30 am onwards. The winner will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.10000/- and the Runners-Up
will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.7000/- besides trophies. Besides, individual performances
will also be awarded.

Church Feast Celebrated with Pomp & Gaiety

The annual feast of Our Lady of Remedios, Nerul, was celebrated on 25th October 2009 with traditional gaiety and religious fervor.

The countdown to this auspicious occasion began with the Fama on 15th October 2009, where the flag of Our Lady of Remedios was hoisted after blessing the same by the Parish Priest. The 9 days of novena followed, which were celebrated with different themes and were organized by the respective wards and associations of the Parish.
